Generic drugs are gaining its popularity especially at these financially tough times where mostly all of the basic necessities in our everyday life are becoming more and more expensive due to economic downfalls. More and more people are finding alternative methods and products for them to be able to cut costs on their everyday expenditures.  We all know how the saying goes that, “Health is Wealth”. Although they look different because of trademark laws not allowing generic drugs to look alike the brand name drugs, still generic drugs must have duplicate the active ingredient. Its color, flavor and certain other inactive ingredient may be different.

Affordable yet quality generic medicines are a big help in complying with treatment and successfully managing illness for long term medications of people with chronic diseases as well as hard working employees (mainly those who are underpaid but over worked) who catches minor sickness. We all know that in hard times, extreme measures should be taken. Prevention is the best drug for everything. So before we caught up illness, we should equip and improve our health by taking food supplements. And if we can’t really prevent sickness, it’s our choice to choose whether to buy brand name drugs or the generic ones.
